At the Goose we believe that community happens when broken meets broken. We believe that belief is not a pre-requisite to belonging. We're discovering that we are all connected beautifully in our imperfections. We practice the tradition of meal sharing as the hospitality of spirit whether in communion or donuts and coffee.
All are welcome! There is nothing to join. We believe you belong even if you do not attend.
To walk away from an old way of being, thinking or believing takes courage. At the Goose we see believing as a change in ones thinking. A shift away from a religion of duties and abracadabra prayers. An awakening to our addictive tendencies. An embrace of compassion for self and others that transcends fear of punishment. It is the awakening that all things don't hinge on my believing in God., but that the mystery we call God believes in me!
We believe behaving is not a pre-requisite to belonging. It is a fruit that arises from believing that I belong. It is the result of nurturing intimacy with these truths and the ways that the mystery we call God is revealed to us both individually and corporately. It is living out of the deepest desire of the heart we all share. To love and be loved, to know and be known. To awkwardly follow what the Celtic Christians called the Holy Spirit. The Wild Goose.

At our quirky services we do not take an offering. We have no paid staff. It is a shared experience. Right now our expenses are room rental, coffee and donuts, education and spirtiual resources for those courageous ones in recovery and scholarships for upcoming retreats and trainings.
